Dawn

Mists from Dawn on The Suwannee River

The mists from Dawn

slowly rise

Showing our eyes, for once,

the beauty of the Day.

The mists from Dawn

leave a sheen so bright,

So as to replace

the dullness left from the Eve.

A time seemingly lost

in the bitterness of the night.

The mists from Dawn

though beautiful in the sun,

May lead you astray

in the coming days.

Our eyes are attune to the

differences in our lives,

What was once frozen –

captured by love,

Is now free – a spirit

laden with the only

Key to our hearts.

The mists from Dawn,

slowly rise.

Our sights overwhelmed

by the coming light

That is to be the day.

Beautiful dawn.
